During the summer I took a course in photography at Leksands folkhögskola with Johan Willner as teacher. My main project during the week was to follow an international group of metal smiths attending a seminar the same period. The challenge they had was to make new jewellery or sculptures from discarded objects found on the bottom of lake Siljan. It was an interesting experience to follow their creative process, from getting to know the materials as it was pulled out of the water, refining and shaping it until it was ready for displaying the finished objects to the public.
